Hello everyone!  This is the second part of the recent interview I did with famed game developer and producer Dan Kitchen, who was very generous with his time in talking about his career.  This part of the interview focuses on his SNES days and what's he done since then, and the work he is doing to finish one of his unfinished Atari 2600 Activision games, Gold Rush!  Many thanks to him again for the time.  If you have any questions or comments please leave them on our FB page or send an e-mail to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and please check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/snespodcast and as always thanks for your support!

Hello everybody!  Welcome to a special episode of the SNES Podcast where I am most pleased and honored to have had the chance to interview one of the great game programmers of our time, Dan Kitchen!  Dan has a extensive history of working in the game industry going back over 40 years, and is one of the few 'golden age' people still active in the industry today.  In this part of the interview most of the talk is on pre-SNES stuff such as his work with Activision and why he programmed some 2600 games in the late 80's.  Part two will be out next week!  If you have any questions or comments please leave them on our FB page or send an e-mail to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and please check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/snespodcast and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode George returns to the podcast to talk about with Gren an obscure Japanese only RPG -- Dark Half!  Published by Enix, this late SNES game with isometric graphics has split action between two main characters, one good and one evil, and brings a lot of new elements to the table.  We discuss how well all this works, how the game plays, and how it holds up today.

Also, the podcast will be taking a break for a while due to real life issues. Special episodes may come out, but the plan is for the podcast to return on a regular basis in early May.  As always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg is joined by special guest host Randy as the two discuss one of Randy's childhood games -- the Adventures of Dr. Franken!  The middle game of a three game franchise, this weird and obscure platfromer has you play the part of Frankenstien's Monster as he goes around the world to reassemble his girlfriend.  We discuss the game and it's history and how it holds up today.  If you have any questions or comments please leave them on our FB page or send an e-mail to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and please check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/snespodcast and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg and George are joined by guest host Ray as we talk about one of Ray's favorite SNES games -- Killer Instinct!  Designed to try to stand out from the 'popular' fighting games of the MK and SF series, we discuss the unique things this game does, the history of the series, and how it holds up today.  This is also George's last regular co-host episode as real life is getting very busy for him, but he will he back for guest spots now and then.  Thank you again for your years of work George!  If you have any questions or comments please leave them on our FB page or send an e-mail to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and please check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/snespodcast and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg and George look at an early SNES release game -- Lagoon!  An action RPG game like Zelda and the early Y's games, this pretty unknown title from Kemco-Sieka (producers of Shadowgate) is typical of the genre in a lot  of ways.  We discuss the game and how it plays, and how it holds up today.  If you have any questions or comments please leave them on our FB page or send an e-mail to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and please check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/snespodcast and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg and George look at a game better known on the NES then the SNES -- Wario's Woods!  The last game that had a licence for the NES, the SNES version is very similar to it's 8 bit brother and just as interesting to play.  A unique puzzle game with a twist and featuring classic Nintendo characters such as Wario and Birdo, we look at the history of the game, how it plays, and how it holds up today.  If you have any questions or comments please leave them on our FB page or send an e-mail to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and please check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/snespodcast and as always thanks for your support!
