In this special episode of the SNES Podcast, Greg and Joe are joined by long time friend of the show and fellow Podcaster Aaron Hickman (Genesis Gems) as we cover one of the strangest games on the system -- Mohawk and Headphone Jack!  Made by some of the same people who made Busby, this fast paced Sonic-like platformer is known for it's really trippy and shaking graphics that can induce motion sickness in some people.  We cover this weird game in depth and how it holds up.  Also, George has had to step down as editor so we'd like to welcome Brad to the role!  This was his first episode so please give him a kind hand.  Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Joe and Greg cover a game based off a cartoon that Joe watched in his youth -- AHHH Real Monsters!  Based off a Nick show from the 90's, this platformer looks like it's straight from the cartoon but how does it play and hold up today?  Tune in to find out!  Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg and Joe are joined by pinball wizard and podcaster Nick as we talk about another SNES pinball game -- Battle Wizard!  A Japanese only game that featured four main tables using popular Bandai properties such as Ultraman, this game features a mix of multi screen pinball action and some action game elements as you advance across a table and fight a boss, climaxing with a final end game boss fight.  We discuss the game, how the tables play, and how it is overall.   Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg and Joe look at another obscure Japanese game -- UFO Karmen Yakisoban!  A beat-em-up marketing tie in game, you control the mascot of a company's instant noodles as you try to get back your space princess from a deranged American with a kettle on his head.  Confused?  Listen to this episode to help!  We cover the game and how it plays and all that.  Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!

In this special episode, Greg and Joe are joined by Ollie as we discuss one of his favorite games -- Cannon Fodder!  This British created Amiga game was a fun and witty take on war in a RTS setting, and was very popular with numerous ports of the game on other computers and consoles.  The SNES version was PAL only, however, and is rather uncommon today as a result.  We discuss the game and why Ollie enjoyed it so much, and also how the game plays and how it holds up today.   Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!

In this episode Greg and Joe look at the sequel to Jurassic Park on the SNES -- JP 2: The Chaos Continues!  This game is very different then the first game, in which you have to try to resort order to the island in a very Contra-isk style of gameplay.  We discuss the game and how it plays and how it holds up today.  Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!

In this very special episode of the SNES podcast, Joe and I review a book that recently came out that does feature a SNES in it's twisted saga so we felt we could make a exception to our usual game policy. ;)  "Smoke and Mirrors" is a digital (and soon to be physical) book written by Mike James, about the history of one of the most infamous retro gaming scams of our time -- the Retro VGS/Coleco Chameleon and it's creator Mike Kennedy.  We discuss the book in length and my own personal experiences with Mr. Kennedy and the saga as it happened, and weigh in with our thoughts on if this is worth buying or not. (Short answer: yes!)  Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support!  If you wish to buy the book you may do so at https://www.colecochameleon.org/store.php
