In this episode Greg and Joe discuss the last Capcom developed and punished game with the Disney license -- Goof Troop! Based on the Disney cartoon of the same name (not really, but we get into that!) this game has you playing either as Goofy or his son Max in a action/puzzle game as you try to solve puzzles and beat bad guys to rescue your friends from pirates. In many ways this game plays like a mix of Zelda and Startropics, and the game really shines in two player mode as both of you work together! We discuss the game in detail and how it ties into the show and how it holds up today.

In this episode Greg and Joe look at the prequel of a RPG we already covered -- Lufia 2! I say 'prequel' cause instead of this being a sequel like most games this actually goes back in the past and has you play people and events alluded to in the first game. This plays very much like Lufia but with some key differences, and we explain and explore these differences and how it holds up today.

In this episode of the SNES Podcast, Greg and Joe pay tribute to the great John Madden, legendary football coach, commentator, and inspiration behind one of the most successful video game franchises in history.  Millions of people learned how to watch and play football thanks to his efforts, so we focus on one of several Madden games to come out for the SNES.  While we touch on a bunch of them, we focus on Madden 94 due to several major new features it brought to the table.  We discuss those features, the history of the franchise, and what's it's like to play a 1993 sports game in 2022.

In this episode of the SNES Podcast, Greg and Joe were joined by guest Alex to talk about one of his favorite shooters on the SNES -- Pocky and Rocky! This obscure Nastume game licensed from Taito allows you to play the role of either shrine maiden Pocky or squirrel Rocky as you blast through six stages a la Commando or Ikari Warriors to stop a evil force. This totally over the top game full of Japanese charm is very similar to Legend of the Mystical Ninja in it's Japan-ese look and feel. Just be prepared to play via emulation if you'd like to play this interesting game!

Please be aware that Alex sadly lost his audio file after recording the podcast so you will only hear Joe and I speak about the game. I have invited Alex to submit a audio submission and if he does so at a future date then we will include it in a podcast. However, this game was Alex's pick and so we want to thank him very much for introducing us to yet another little known SNES game.
